At Blu Wireless, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it when using this site. In this privacy notice, you can read all about why, how and when we collect your personal information when you use this site or receive communication from us, how we use it and how we keep it secure.

If you have any questions about our policy or any data we may hold about you, or have a suggestion about how we can improve it, please do get in touch. You can contact our marketing team at marketing@bluwireless.com. If you have any concerns or complaints about our privacy notice or our data processing, we’d love to hear from you, but you can also contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) directly.

Why we collect your information:

Under the new GDPR regulations there are six legal grounds through which we can process personal data, all of which are equally valid and allow us to meet the first principle of GDPR – that data can be processed lawfully. The legal ground under which we collect data is that it is ‘necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests, rights or freedoms of the data subject’. You can find out more about these six legal grounds on the UK Information Commissioner’s Office website.

We use the data we collect to send you marketing communications we believe will be of interest and of value you to. We never share your data with any third parties other than those we have carefully selected and who are acting on our behalf to send you communications.

How we collect information from you:

We obtain information about you when you use our site, when you contact us directly (for example by phone, email and/or our data form on our website). We may also obtain information about you when you download our specific information (such as white papers or reports) or when you interact with us through social media. From time to time, we may also buy in data from trusted data suppliers, which may include your data that you have actively opted in to be used and distributed by that organisation and obtain contact information through online research.

The type of information we collect about you:

  • The personal data we collect about you might include:
  • Your first and surname
  •  Your company name
  • Your business address
  • Your email address
  • Your telephone number
  • Your IP address
  • Your social media handles
  • When, and how you contact us.

When you visit our website, we will know when and what information you have looked at, but won’t know exactly who you are. We do this by using ‘cookies’, which helps us to manage and improve our site. We will only know who you are if you have specifically contacted us by clicking on a hyperlink in one of our emails or filled in our website data form.

How we use your information:

We may use your information in a number of ways:

  • To enable us to respond to your enquiry
  • To send you communications or information that you have specifically requested
  • To contact you about our services and offerings that we believe will be of interest and of value to you
  • To enhance, modify or improve our website (‘analytics’).

Your rights, choices and preferences:

You have the option to opt out of receiving communication from us and to request what information we may hold about you at any time.
We will hold the personal information on our systems for as long as necessary to conduct relevant activity. ICO guidelines recommend updating the information we hold at least every two years.

When we process your personal information for analytics purposes we will do so for our legitimate business interests and you have the right to object to this processing if you wish. You can unsubscribe from any emails we may send you, and you can contact us directly (e-mail marketing@bluwireless.com) to opt out of receiving communication from us, have your data corrected or restrict the use of your data. Please note that, should you opt out, we would continue to hold your data on our systems but ensure we do not contact you. This is to ensure that we do not inadvertently add you to our database again. You can also always opt back in to receiving communication from us at any time.

We never sell the information we hold about you to third parties. The only third parties we may share your information with are trusted partners acting on our behalf to send you our communication. This includes, but is not limited to printers producing mail-outs for us, email platforms (such as MailChimp) to send you emails.
Google manages the information (cookies) collected for site analytics purposes. You can find out more about cookies from GoogleAnalytics.
You have the right to object to our processing your personal information for analytics purposes to enhance or improve our site. You can do this by managing your privacy settings on your browser.

We do not collect and/or process any sensitive information about you. However, we still take the security of any data we hold about you seriously and have made our best efforts to ensure its treated securely on our systems.
