About Us

Blu Wireless is disrupting the market with our ultra-fast and seamless 5G mmWave wireless solutions. We are committed to developing cutting-edge network technology that helps set our customers apart as market leaders and innovators.

Making Waves

From our Global HQ in Bristol, we are leading a new era of high-speed connectivity. We utilise mmWave frequencies to generate cost-effective, reliable, and ultra-fast wireless networks.

Our unique product solutions are engineered for emerging connectivity needs – from smart city networks to connected vehicles. We work together with integrators, manufacturers, and service providers to deliver the superior speeds of connectivity needed for the data-intensive applications of the future. That’s why we’re trusted partners of the world’s biggest names in telecoms and technology.

Our bleeding-edge products use our proprietary modem integrated with a unique phased-array mmWave transceiver. This allows us to deliver up to 4 Gbps over the air, in a single 2 GHz channel in 14 GHz of unlicensed spectrum from 57-71 GHz . Our firmware typically will choreograph data traffic using up to 4 simultaneous mmWave links, in a variety of mobility scenarios, and we are evolving to support both mobile and fixed mesh configurations.

About the Software Group

The focus of the Systems Product Development team within Blu Wireless is to design and develop innovative wireless product suites that deliver complete end to end solutions based on our own high bandwidth modem technology.

The Software Group plays a key role within the Systems Product Development, as we build solutions for a wide range of use case applications, and across a wide range of software technology stacks.  This extends from ground-up firmware for our multi-core modems, wireless networking functions, ARM-Linux device platforms, our proprietary Intelligent Control Plane stack, cloud-native network management, observability services and overlaid systems applications.

To meet this broad remit, our software engineering teams cover a wide field of expertise, from embedded firmware, MAC/PHY protocols, operating systems and drivers, network protocols and mesh networking, management and observability, cloud, containerisation, web-based GUI, DevOps, security and much more.
