About the Role
We are expanding our Automation team and we are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work on our Production Software applications. This framework of applications is used both by our in-house production team, and by our manufacturing partners, and is used to automate the testing and recording of items leaving the production line. This is an important area of development work as we look to scale up our operations to meet demand, and we also need someone who will be able to leverage their experience to evolve, refine, and further develop the application suite as our product range increases.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic team player, and willing to learn quickly. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to build effective working relationships with colleagues as well as internal and external customers, across international boundaries.
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate all of the following skills and experience:
- A degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience, with 2+ years in a similar Software role.
- Development on an Embedded Linux platform.
- Working with Embedded systems e.g. Raspberry Pi, I2C, board bring-up etc.
- Experience of developing Python applications, using the following packages:
- Python GUI packages.
- PostgreSQL databases.
- Django.
- Development, automation, and CI frameworks: Jenkins, Zuul CI (or similar), git.
