Top 5 Things to See at DSEI 2025 (and why they matter)

DSEI 2025 is set to bring together the global defence community to explore the technologies, partnerships, and strategies shaping the future force. With a strong focus on digital transformation, multi-domain integration, and AI-powered decision-making, this year’s agenda reflects a rapidly evolving battlespace.

Blu Wireless will be there too, exhibiting live at Booth S15-150. Ahead of the show, we’ve rounded up the five things we’re most excited to see on the floor, in the forums, and across the wider event programme.

1. Land Forum: Unlocking Next-Generation Networks (Wednesday 10 Sept)

One of the must-attend sessions this year is the Land Forum panel titled “Unlocking Next-Generation Networks (5G)”, which will explore how armed forces can move beyond traditional comms infrastructure to embrace secure, high-throughput networks that meet operational demands. Expect expert commentary on how to balance speed, resilience, and interoperability when building battlefield networks that support real-time data, video, and AI apps in motion.

2. Strategic Command Forum: Electromagnetic Dominance (Thursday 11 Sept)

Given the increasing importance of the electromagnetic spectrum in modern warfare, Thursday’s panel on “The cyber and electromagnetic domain: Priorities and partnerships” will be key. With multi-domain operations at the heart of so many defence strategies, this session will examine how spectrum usage, jamming resilience, and secure transmission are being prioritised across the services. This is particularly relevant for anyone looking to understand how comms providers, cyber units, and command structures are converging.

3. Naval Forum: AI-Enhanced Decision Making (Wednesday 10 Sept)

While autonomy and AI are often associated with aerospace, the Naval Forum is taking a bold position on how AI-enhanced decision-making can transform maritime C2.

This session will examine how machine learning and high-bandwidth connectivity are enabling faster reactions in contested maritime scenarios, especially when visibility, latency, and information reliability are all in flux.

4. Aerospace Forum: Agentic AI in Real-Time Ops (Tuesday 9 Sept)

The panel “High-stakes, quick actions: Agentic AI transforms real-time decision-making” will delve into how AI is not just supporting but acting within decision loops, particularly in aerospace environments. This is one of the most forward-leaning sessions of the week and is set to spark serious discussion on the role of autonomous systems, the reliability of AI decisions under pressure, and how connected infrastructure can support or constrain these deployments.

5. Space Forum: C2 Beyond Earth (Thursday 11 Sept)

Space is now a fully operational domain, and the Space Forum at DSEI is treating it as such. One of the most relevant sessions is “Command, control, and cognition: How AI is reshaping integrated force communications,” which looks at the increasing role of space-based infrastructure in enabling faster, cross-domain coordination.

This conversation bridges the strategic and the tactical: how data from space assets feeds real-time battlefield decision-making, and what kind of ground-level communications infrastructure is needed to make that data usable in motion.

Let’s Talk Tactical Connectivity at DSEI

DSEI 2025 promises to showcase not just what’s next, but what’s necessary. From AI-powered command systems to electromagnetic dominance and space-based C2, this year’s agenda reflects the accelerating pace of defence transformation.

If you’re attending, we’d love to meet you. Book some time with us at Booth S15-150 to see how our stealthy mmWave technology is helping defence forces communicate faster, smarter and more securely, even in the most contested environments.
